Abundantly

Ecclesiastes 3:12 says “I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives.”

Often we deny ourselves of enjoyment because we do not fully understand the workings of God. I noticed that when we entered a National Park, ancient ruins, amusement parks - some people spend all day on a table or a bench. They open their computers or iPhones to figure out other things rather than enjoy the environment they are in. After spending so many hours they go home and have never experienced a single thrill.

Sometimes our lives are preoccupied with the things we don’t fully understand. It is true that sometimes we will never understand God’s program. We are afflicted “by the paralysis of analysis “, rather than enjoying the things in front of us. Life is a tremendous gift from God. Enjoy it. God moves in mysterious ways as He says in Isaiah 55:9”for as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” We cannot put God in a box according to our design. He is God. Enjoy life. Jesus said, “ I have come that you may have life and that they may have it more abundantly” John 10:10

The word “ abundantly” is to describe to us how God wants to bless our lives. He gives us abundant peace Psalm 37:11. He gives us abundant grace and righteousness Romans 5:17. He gives us abundant works or labour’s in His kingdom 2Cor.11:23. He gives us abundant joy Phil.1:26. He gives us abundant mercy 1 Peter 1:3. He gives us abundant pardon of our sins Isaiah 55:7. He gives us abundant grace 1Tim. 1:14.

It is true that God is faithful in every season of our lives. Therefore we must also take advantage, every season of our lives, enjoy the blessings God has given us. Even though at times we don’t fully understand His program we must trust Him because He is God. Serve the Lord with gladness. This means enjoying thoroughly what God bestowed upon you. Remember this, God enjoys our happiness. Look at the world around you, take time to smell the roses, for example. There are many beautiful things. Go to sports activities, parks and gardens, spend time with your family, have an enjoyable hobby, take a holiday, enjoy walking on the beach with your family, climb mountains and rivers, go to historical and archaeological sites, ( to appreciate the ancient), do a solitude for yourself everyday and enjoy the blessings God has lavishly poured upon you everyday.

Enjoy life and know that God enjoys seeing your happiness. These are all gifts of His grace. All by grace and grace alone.
