Do not fear for I am with you

Connected to my mother-in-law’s house is a granny flat. (small unit). That is where Annie and I used to live when we were newly married. There were a couple from England who stayed there for 3 months, about our age, just having a holiday in Australia, and visiting their daughter’s family. They just left 30 minutes ago to go to the airport, bound home for England tonight. They are good Christian people. They know the Lord personally. Before they left they gave my mother-in-law a bunch of flowers, a card with beautiful words indicating their thankfulness and sincere appreciation; and also a small card with these words from Isaiah 41:10, “Do not Fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand.” Another comforting word they said to my mother-in-law was, “we will meet you again in heaven.” These are indeed “wonderful words of life.” Only a true believer in Christ can sincerely and truly express these words of assurance concerning our eternal home and final destiny. While we are on earth these words from Isaiah 41:10 tells us the ever presence of God and His continuous comfort, encouragement, help, strengthening, sustaining and upholding us with His everlasting righteous hands. Christians should never be afraid of tomorrow or wherever we are, even during our working schedule or holidays. A man or woman of God living in His perfect will is immortal until God takes him or her home in heaven. Fellow believers in Christ never meet for the last time, because they will certainly meet again in our ‘Father’s House” in glory (John 14:1-4).

Do not fear, you may not know the whole blueprint of your future, but God holds every detail of your future. Sometimes, even Christians have the tendency ‘to want to know’ the future events of their lives in the next, few months, 5, 10, 15 or so years of their lives. That is not living by faith. God want us to express our faith every moment of our lives, trusting in the sovereignty of God who holds our tomorrow. The verse says, Do not fear for I am with you…I will hold you with my righteous hand.” What more do you want? Your salvation is all because of His grace; also His very presence is all by grace, sustaining you is all by grace. God is Good to me! God is Good to me! He holds my hand and helps me stand, God is good to me!, the chorus says. Walk with God this 2019 in the power of His love and grace. All by grace and by grace alone. Love you all in the FB, though I cannot answer you all. Please share this “Blessing for Today” to anyone.
